The End Of An Era
(August 26, 2010)
Two years ago for various reasons I decided to drop the name Sudden Death. Today I have relinquished control of the domain suddendeath.org. I was contacted the other day by a charity that helps children cope with the unexpected death of a loved one (AmyAndTom.org). They wanted to know if they could have the domain since I was no longer using it. This seemed like a better solution than just letting it expire and inevitably become a porn site so I said yes.
I spent the past couple days getting my email address migrated over to my Gmail account and then transferred ownership of the domain to them. As of about 2:00 PM EDT today they now own the domain.
They were nice enough to set up an email box on their server so emails sent to my old address will forward to my new one, so I shouldn't miss any of that oh-so-important spam in the process. For this I am grateful. If I don't get at least 27 V!@gra offers per day I feel as if the day has been wasted.
With that, and the impending sale of the remaining Sudden Death tapes to a filk dealer I feel like I'm severing some rather large ties to my past. But this decision was for the best and I believe the domain is in good hands.
Now, onward to glory!
